The Quatro 16 provides a square glass fusing kiln for individuals who need a kiln larger than 14.5″ x 14.5″ wide (Square 146GFE) but not as large as 18″ x 18″ wide (Square 186GFE). Glass firing kilns are used for fusing and forming glass shapes, precious metal clay, and heat-treating. 120-volt glass fusing and precious metal clay models are equipped with a lid element for the fusing segment of the firing and a body element for the ramping up, down, and annealing segments. A selector switch on the electrical box designates whether the lid or body element is to be heated during firing. Only one element can be used at a time due to the 120-volt power limit. If the selector switch remains in the neutral position, neither element will heat. Models come equipped with a pilot light, an 18” tall metal stand, a stainless steel jacket, and a Bartlett Instruments KilnStar digital controller.

Upgrade to the Genesis touchscreen controller for more ramp-hold user programs and additional features, including delay start, preheat, skip step, and more, for precise firings every time. Messages and information are available for reviewing a firing profile before or during the firing, and for viewing the current segment the firing is in. Other options include the lid lift assist, which makes it easy to open and close heavy kiln lids, bead door, quartz glass viewing window, Type S thermocouple, vent, and more!  Solid-state relays are also an option. Furniture Kits for 120-volt glass fusing and PMC kilns include 2 layers of shelving for stacking ware, assorted square posts, and ceramic paper.  Choose the standard furniture kit, or build your own with shelves and posts in the required quantities.
