This kiln is model 1214 E Raku E 120 volt.
Inside Dimensions: 11 ¼” wide x 13 ½” deep, fires to cone 4/2100°F
The 1214 E Raku comes equipped with a metal frame, stainless steel jacket, and the Bartlett Kiln Star digital controller.
Additional options include upgrading to the Genesis touchscreen controller for more ramp-hold user programs and multiple features, including delay start, preheat, cone offset, skip-step, and many more for precise firings every time.
Other options include Type S thermocouple, castors, vent, and much more!

The Olympic Kilns Electrositter will replace your obsolete kiln sitter model! The Electro Sitter comes complete with an electronic controller of your choice for cone-fire or ramp/hold programming, an attached Type K thermocouple, ceramic fiber, and an electronic controller manual.
Installation is easy. The Electro Sitter will fit where the kiln sitter/timer is attached to the kiln. Simply remove the screws from the kiln sitter on the front of the kiln, then detach wires connecting to the kiln sitter. Wires will be attached to the back of the Electro Sitter exactly as they were attached to the kiln sitter terminal block. The thermocouple from the Electro Sitter goes through the kiln sitter hole and is exposed 1″ inside the kiln. Use fiber to fill the space in the kiln sitter hole. After the Electro Sitter is installed, read the controller manual that came with it. When you are ready to program the controller, turn the kiln switches to high. You now have an electronically controlled kiln!
Electro Sitters may be used in most any brand kiln that has a kiln sitter. The units are rated up to 50 amps, with higher amperages available at an additional charge.

A story of perseverance after a devastating storm:
"I went to the grand opening of Village Potters in Asheville on Saturday. Their original location in the River Arts District was under 16 feet of water during Hurricane Helene. This Raku Kiln was stored outside and was under water. A member took it home full of mud and restored it over a year. It`s pretty amazing! They had a sweet raku demo Saturday and told the story."

Kevin Russell inspires others through his art just as he has been inspired by others over the years. At the age of 12 Kevin discovered the potters wheel. He says, “This was a life altering experience, the potter’s wheel and vessels are my life’s passion.”
Russell’s ceramic interest was further nurtured and guided by his high school instructor, Wes Blizzard. He went on to earn a B.B.B. at the University of Findlay and served as a student assistant in the art department. Graduate work was completed at Fort Hays University earning him a M.F.A. in ceramics. During his studies Russell had the opportunity to work with ed Corle and had interactions with artists Jim Leedy, Paul Soldner, Steven Hill, Don Ritz and Tom Coleman – all who have had an influence on the work he creates and teaches now.
Coming full circle Kevin teaches at Westland High School where he was mentored by Wes Blizzard. His work has been on display at gallery 831 in Columbus, Ohio – www.clayspace831.com
