Dual Media kilns are designed for individuals or businesses who work with multiple media. The dual design for reaching high firing temperatures for stoneware, pottery, and ceramics, and the lid element for fusing glass, provide the versatility needed. Oval dual media kilns are built with a 2″ blank brick row in the first section of the kiln to protect the elements when loading and unloading the kiln. All Dual Media models fire to 2350°F and include a lid element for fusing glass.

Dual Media models are built with the Olympic-proven electrical box design, which has heat shields with top and bottom perforations to keep the electrical components cool. Balanced heating elements ensure even heating of the firing chamber under all firing conditions. Dual Media kilns come equipped with a pilot light, a metal stand, a stainless steel jacket, and a Bartlett KilnStar digital controller.

Upgrade to the Genesis touchscreen controller for more ramp-hold user programs and additional features, including delay start, preheat, cone offset, skip step, and more, for precise firings every time. Messages and information are available for reviewing a firing profile before or during the firing, viewing the current segment the firing is in, and using a cone table for easy lookup of temperature and cone number equivalents. Furniture kits are available for Dual Media electric kilns; however, you can also create your own. The furniture kits for 18” wide models come with small 1” x 1” square posts, which provide more room to fire items inside the kiln. The 23H”, 28H”, and oval furniture kits come with the larger posts sized 1 ½” x 1 ½” square.
