The Hotsie comes with a quartz viewing window in the lid of the kiln. It is built in three sections with handles on each section for easy maneuverability. The Hotbox models work well firing smaller pieces of glass or jewelry and will high fire to 2350°F. HotBox models equipped with a quartz viewing window have a maximum temperature of 1700°F, and 1800°F for the Hotsie, to protect the quartz glass. This model is ideal for vitrigraph, and a fiber kiln bottom can be purchased to cut a hole for the glass to drip through as an alternative to using the brick kiln bottom. The Bartlett Instruments 3 Key Controller equips the kiln for precise firings. Controller data is entered by scrolling through the up and down arrows to the desired temperature for ramp-hold programs.
The model comes with a peephole plug, instruction manuals, and warranty card. Two-year Limited Kiln Warranty.
Furniture Kits for 120-volt models provide 2-3 layers of shelving for stacking ware, assorted small square posts, and a one-pound bag of kiln wash. Ceramic paper is included with glass fusing furniture kits. Choose the standard furniture kit or build your own with shelves and posts in the quantities required.
