Dual Media kilns are designed for individuals or businesses who work with multiple media.  The dual design for reaching high firing temperatures for stoneware, pottery, and ceramics, and the lid element for fusing glass, provides the versatility needed. Oval dual media kilns are built with a 2″ blank brick row in the first section of the kiln to protect the elements when loading and unloading the kiln.  All Dual Media models fire to 2350°F and include a lid element for fusing glass.

Dual Media models are built with the Olympic-proven electrical box design, featuring heat shields with top and bottom perforations to keep electrical components cool.  Balanced heating elements ensure even heating of the firing chamber under all firing conditions. Dual Media kilns come equipped with a pilot light, a metal stand, a stainless steel jacket, and a Bartlett KilnStar digital controller.

One-year Limited Kiln Warranty for cone 10 models.

Upgrade to the Genesis touchscreen controller for more ramp-hold user programs and additional features, including delay start, preheat, cone offset, skip step, and more, for precise firings every time.  Messages and information are available for reviewing a firing profile before or during the firing, viewing the current segment the firing is in, and using the cone table for easy lookup of temperature and cone number equivalents.  Other options include a Type S thermocouple, 480 volts, 2- or 3-zone control, a vent, and more!  Solid-state relays are also an option.  Please call Olympic Kilns at 800.241.4400 to order.

The Furniture Kit for the DM2523HE consists of 3 layers of shelving – 1 each – 15.5″ x 27″ x 1″ full oval shelf, 2 each -11″ x 22″ x 1″ rectangle shelves, 4 each – 21″ x 10.5″ x 1″ half shelves, 10 each – 4, 6, 8, 10-inch large square posts, and one lb. bag of kiln wash.  You can create your own furniture kit or add to the furniture kit by selecting the shelves and posts of your choosing.
