The 514 Slider square clamshell designed kiln with inside dimensions measuring 29″ x 29″ wide x 13.5″ deep has a sliding floor for ease in loading and glass manipulation. 514 Slider is bolted to an 18″ heavy angle iron stand and comes completely assembled when shipped. The gas strut opens the firing chamber with ease and the sleek wooden handle keeps things cool as you slide the kiln floor out to a fully extended 65″ front-to-back. The model has an element in the lid of the kiln to provide radiant heat needed when the fusing temperature is reached and elements in the kiln walls for conductive heat. Elements in the firing chamber are used to evenly heat the glass piece and the lid element is used when the fusing temperature is reached. Models have a maximum temperature range of 1700°F to protect the optional quartz glass viewing window but can be reprogrammed to fire to higher temperatures.
The 514 Slider comes equipped with a pilot light, a tall 18” heavy-angle iron stand, a stainless steel jacket, and the Bartlett 3 Key electronic controller. Included in the kiln package are peephole plugs, and instruction manuals. Two-year Kiln Limited Warranty.
Other options include upgrading to the KilnStar digital controller or the GENESIS controller with touchscreen technology, lid lift assist for models 18” wide or smaller, Type S thermocouple, flash arm, quartz glass viewing windows, lid elements in quartz rods, venting, and more!
